Licenses
Each purchase is a perpetual license for one PC plus the first year of maintenance, charged together the day you buy. The license doesn't expire and needs no cloud account. Maintenance renews yearly until you cancel, and you can cancel anytime; the license stays yours. Each license is locked to the PC it was issued for.

Yearly maintenance
Updates plus email support, answered in 2 business days. Year one is included in the purchase price and starts the day you buy. After that, maintenance renews automatically each year on your purchase anniversary, at one flat yearly fee per product, however many PCs you run it on, with an email about 30 days before each charge. Cancel anytime in your Link account or by emailing support; the license stays yours. Extra seats add nothing to it, and the shop pack renews automatically at the normal Suite rate. A full refund of a renewal also cancels that maintenance.

If it lapses
- The software keeps working, with no time limit, on the last version released before the lapse. Updates and email support stop.
- A version released after the lapse won't run as licensed, so stay on the version you have until you rejoin.
- Rejoin in the first 60 days: no rejoin fee, just the normal yearly rate.
- After 60 days: a $99 rejoin fee plus the current year. You never pay for the years you skipped.
New PC, or a new owner
Moving to a new PC

Back up to a USB stick or network folder, install on the new PC, restore, and contact me with the new PC's request code. Replacing just the drive or just Windows keeps the license working.

Trial and activation
Free trial: 30 days
- Every feature on, in the app. No account and no card needed. PDFs made during the trial carry a TRIAL mark.
- There's no trial at checkout: buying starts your license and year one of maintenance right away.
- Then read-only. No data is lost: you can view and export all of it. You just can't create or change records until you activate.
- Activate a license and you pick up where you left off.
Activating offline
- Copy the request code from the License window and send it with your order.
- You get a license file back. Import it. It's locked to that PC.
- No account or internet is needed to run.
Good to know
What you need to run it
- A regular Windows 10 or 11 PC, 64-bit. Installing takes administrator rights, and the installer checks for the Visual C++ runtime.
- No internet needed to run.
- Your data lives in %LOCALAPPDATA%\PolyMetricSuite, and uninstalling never removes it.
Your data
- No cloud: one database on your own PC, no usage tracking, and no server of mine that holds it.
- The only thing that reaches out on its own is a once-a-day check for a newer version. It sends only the version number, downloads no programs (just the version notice and a short signed list of refunded license IDs, checked on your PC), and you can turn it off.
- Backups: the first start of each day makes one, and the last 14 daily and 12 monthly are kept. Back up on demand to a USB stick or network folder.
- Getting it out: Quote exports CSV files, Inspect's report package includes a spreadsheet, and export still works in read-only mode.
AS9102-format forms
- Forms 1 and 2, and an inspection report that follows the Form 3 field layout.
- The software carries no approval or accreditation, and using it doesn't make your shop meet any standard or customer requirement.
- You're responsible for checking every result, and for whether a customer accepts the paperwork.
Buying one app, and your paperwork
- You don't have to buy all three, and you can add another license later. The links between apps need the apps on both ends: sending a quote to a job needs Quote and Track, and pulling a PO's cert onto a CoC needs Track and Inspect.
- Quotes, travelers, POs and Inspect's reports, forms and certificates all carry your shop's logo and details.
The fine print
The license agreement (draft) is the full legal text, and the prices in effect on the date you buy apply to your purchase. Licenses, maintenance and license fees are sold through Link (Sold through Link, LLC, a Stripe affiliate), which runs checkout and is the merchant of record; the license, the software and support come from us. The shop pack is sold by quote through the same Link checkout. Optional services are sold by us directly.
